Dear Mr Goodfellow,

Robert Anderson has passed on to me your query concerning the relative positions of the Pyramids. I assume that you are referring to the three Giza Pyramids, in which case the information you want will be found in "The Pyramids and Temples of Gizeh", by W.M. Flinders Petrie (Ist edition only for full details; London 1883). This work contains the results of Petrie's precise triangulation of the Giza plateau, including the reduced co-ordinates of survey of the bases of the three Pyramids, and the resulting distances of separation. I think you should be able to obtain access to a copy of this book, but if not, I would be prepared to extract some data from it for you, if you will specify what you want to know.
On the other hand, since my findings on the plan of the three Pyramids are due to be published in the Staten Island Archaeological Report, you might try writing to its editor, Miss Helen H. Loeffler, to see if she will send you a copy when it appears. (Her address is: 49O Bard Ave., S.I., N.Y. 10310.) This report will contain the information that I think you are looking for.

Best Wishes,
John Legon
