Earth eclipse - 10/27/04

Picture - the Earth blocking direct sunlight from reaching the moon. The red appearance is the secondary light from the Earth reflecting off the moon. The brighter side is the limb of the Earth's shadow slowly moving away, the Sun's direct light revealing the moon again.
